Rujian Fu

Rujian Fu is a proficient battery engineer with extensive experience in battery cell lifetime modeling and algorithm development. Rujian worked at Tesla from November 2017 to July 2020 as a Staff Cell Engineer and Senior Cell Engineer, focusing on battery technology. Prior to Tesla, Rujian was employed at A123 Systems from August 2014 to November 2017 as a Battery Simulation Engineer, where responsibilities included life estimation and algorithm development for lithium-ion battery packs used in hybrid and electric vehicles. Rujian began the professional career as a Research Assistant at Auburn University from January 2009 to July 2014, concentrating on battery algorithm development and the reliability of electrical connectors for hybrid electric vehicles. Rujian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.
