Leonardo Soto is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology, focusing on post-genomics and biotechnology of extremophiles since August 2022. Simultaneously, Leonardo serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Cell Biology & Physiology at the University of Maryland. As a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science since May 2021, Leonardo has contributed to ongoing research initiatives. Previously, a Cell Culture Specialist at Longeveron Inc. from December 2021 to August 2022, and a Research Assistant at St. Thomas University from January 2019 to November 2021, Leonardo has cultivated a strong research background. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland, Leonardo holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
