Fabio Mancini

Fabio Mancini has over 24 years of work experience in the field of geophysics. Fabio currently holds the position of Chief Geophysicist at Blue Ocean Seismic Services Limited since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Woodside Energy from 2011 to 2022, starting as a Senior Geophysicist and progressing to the roles of Principal Geophysicist, Manager Seismic Processing and Imaging, Technology Manager (Geophysics), and ultimately Chief Geophysicist. From 2008 to 2011, Fabio worked as a Geophysical Advisor at Hess Corporation, and from 2006 to 2008 they served as a Geophysicist - Seismic Processing at TOTAL S.A. Fabio began their career as a Processing Geophysicist at CGGVeritas from 1998 to 2000. Fabio also gained experience as a Research Geophysicist at TOTAL E&P UK from 2003 to 2006.

Fabio Mancini pursued their education in the field of geology, beginning in 1990. Fabio attended Sapienza Università di Roma for five years, from 1990 to 1995, and obtained a Laurea degree. Later, in 2000, they enrolled in The University of Edinburgh to pursue a PhD in Geophysics. Fabio'sresearch focused specifically on seismic converted waves in VTI media. Fabio completed their doctoral studies in 2003.
