Giorgio Mangano

Giorgio Mangano has worked in the field of seismic services for over 15 years. Giorgio began their career in 2005 as a Stagista at STMicroelectronics, where they developed and analyzed a MIMO scheme with power control. Later that same year, Giorgio began working as a Marine Development Engineer and Seismic Network Administrator at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia. In this role, they designed, manufactured, and tested Ocean Bottom Seismometers, and took part in several oceanographic campaigns. In 2013, Giorgio moved to Guralp Systems, where they served as Head of Ocean Bottom Systems and Ocean Bottom System Engineer. In this role, they led the development and production of free fall, compact design, long term deployment Ocean Bottom Seismometers, and installed a cabled network of Ocean Bottom Seismometers in the Pacific Ocean. Most recently, Giorgio has been working as a Technical Program Manager at Blue Ocean Seismic Services Limited since 2020.

Giorgio Mangano received their Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica, indirizzo Telecomunicazioni from Università degli Studi di Palermo between 1996 and 2005. In June 2021, they obtained a Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training Course from OPITO.
