Swagath Kannan

Swagath Kannan has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Swagath is currently working as the Head of Engineering at Stripe since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Science and Engineering, Demand Prediction and Analytics at Amazon from 2019 to 2022. Swagath also worked at Amazon from 2009 to 2018, during which they held various roles including Head of Engineering, Natural Language Understanding, Alexa and GM, Referral Programs and Publisher Incentives. Prior to their time at Amazon, they worked as a Member Technical Staff at Oracle Corporation from 2005 to 2007.

Swagath Kannan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2005. Subsequently, in 2008, they completed their Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
