Tim Sparapani has worked in the legal and public policy fields since 2001. Tim began their career as an Associate at Dickstein Shapiro in 2001. In 2005, they moved to the American Civil Liberties Union as a Senior Legislative Counsel. In 2009, they joined Facebook as Director of Public Policy. In 2012, they became Vice President of Law, Policy and Government Affairs at the Application Developers Alliance. In 2019, they co-founded Blue Run Spirits, where they served as General Counsel, and in 2011 they founded SPQR Strategies, a strategic government relations consultancy and privacy expert. In their role at SPQR Strategies, they provide five types of services, including data innovation and privacy policy and product consulting, government relations insight, monitoring, strategies, representation and implementation, public policy development, legal advice, counseling and representation, and relationship and alliance building. Tim also serves as Acting General Counsel for multiple startups and has provided counsel and advice to established companies such as CloudFlare, KAYAK, and Quizlet.
Tim Sparapani attended the University of Michigan Law School from 1998 to 2000, where they earned a JD in Law. Prior to that, they attended Georgetown University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and English.
