Kevin Shaw

Kevin Shaw has a diverse work experience in the field of auditing and risk management. Kevin started their career as an Auditor at the USDA's Office of Inspector General and later became a Compliance Investigator at the Risk Management Agency. In 2007, they joined The Golden 1 Credit Union as an Internal Auditor and gradually moved up to the role of Senior Internal Auditor. In 2017, they joined Health Net Federal Services, LLC as a Senior IT Auditor before transitioning to Blue Shield of California as a Lead IT Auditor in 2020. Prior to their civilian career, Kevin served in the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer - Logistics Officer from 1987 to 2009.

Kevin Shaw completed their associate's degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from SUNY Schenectady County Community College between 1984 and 1986. Following this, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University, graduating between 1990 and 1994. Moreover, Kevin obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2006, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. In 2008, they received the Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA) certification from the Institute of Internal Controls. In 2012, they accomplished the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., as well as the Certified TG-3 Auditor (CTGA) certification from STAR, PULSE, NYSE Networks. Finally, in 2013, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA.
