Mike Sutter

Operating Partner at Blue Wolf Capital Partners

Mr. Sutter is a senior executive with nearly 40 years of experience in industrial companies serving diverse markets with highly differentiated operating models. His background includes a mix of general management, engineering, operations, supply chain, product management, financial oversight, and human capital development, at domestic and international businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, and privately-held enterprises.

Mr. Sutter joined Blue Wolf as an operating partner in 2021. Immediately prior to joining Blue Wolf, he served as CEO of privately-held Airtech Vacuum, an international technology-driven solutions provider of vacuum and pressure technologies tailored to OEM’s serving rapidly growing markets such as alternative energy, medical and material handling, ultimately ending with a successful sale to a strategic buyer. Prior to joining Airtech, Mr. Sutter served as CEO of privately-held Chromalox, a provider of innovate thermal processing solutions into international markets including oil and gas, power generation, and food and beverage. He led a successful sale to an international strategic buyer in 2017.

Before that, he held a general management role in the industrial process segment of ITT, where, among other accomplishments, he pioneered the Lean Enterprise operating model in the engineered-to-order portfolio. Before joining ITT Mr. Sutter and his team drove strong top- and bottom-line growth in the global industrial pump segment of Flowserve. Earlier in career Mr. Sutter held a variety of operations and supply chain positions with SPX, Bell & Howell, and Kulicke & Soffa Industries.

Mr. Sutter holds a M.B.A. and a B.S.I.E. from Lehigh University. He earned a black belt in continuous improvement while at Bell & Howell.
