Vice President, Organizational Transformations at Blue Zones

Melanie Cumbee has a strong background in health and well-being, with extensive experience in organizational transformations and employee well-being strategies. Melanie currently holds the position of Vice President of Organizational Transformations at Blue Zones since August 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Adventist Health as the System Executive Director of Employee Well-being, where they led a comprehensive well-being strategy for the organization. Melanie also served as the Director of Organizational Health and Well-being at MemorialCare Health System for nearly 9 years and played a key role in launching and expanding their employee well-being program. Melanie's earlier experience includes working as a Fitness Professional and Certified Personal Trainer at a private training studio, as well as a Health and Wellness Consultant at WellCall. Overall, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in promoting employee well-being and implementing successful wellness programs.

Melanie Cumbee holds a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from PennWest California. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Health from Eastern Oregon University. In addition to their degrees, Melanie has obtained various certifications including ACE CPT (American Council on Exercise), Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) from the National Wellness Institute, Emotional Intelligence from TalentSmart, and National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM) CPT from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
