Jana is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to joining BlueBay in December 2014, Jana was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Rogge, where she co-led the EM team in London and Singapore and managed EM assets across a range of active global fixed income and currency portfolios. Following experience in banking, she started her Asset Management career at Threadneedle in 2006, where she became a deputy fund manager in the Emerging market fixed income team. She holds a BSc in International Economics from the University of Economics in Prague, an LLM in Finance from J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt and a Postgraduate Certificate in Complex System Modelling from King’s College, London. Jana is a CFA charterholder and holds the Certificate in ESG Investing.



Jana Harvey

Christian is Head of EM Portfolio Construction within the Emerging Markets Team. Christian joined the firm in November 2001 and held positions as an operations analyst, investment grade assistant portfolio manager and execution trader prior to moving to the EM Debt Team in January 2006. Prior to joining BlueBay, he spent three years' at Saudi International Bank in London in the investment accounting section of the asset management division and subsequently as an investment dealer specialising in money market products and foreign exchange. Christian holds a Business degree from Glasgow Caledonian University.



Christian Libralato

My-Linh joined BlueBay in July 2014 and heads up the incorporation of ESG across the firm’s investment assets.  She is a portfolio manager for the BlueBay Impact-Aligned Bond Fund.  My-Linh has over two decades of experience working in the ESG investment industry, having previously been at Schroders Investment Management Ltd where she was an ESG Analyst and prior to that, an Associate Director – SRI Research at Henderson Global Investors.   She holds a Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development from Middlesex University/Forum for the Future, a Masters in Environmental Management Systems & Auditing as well as a degree in Environmental Sciences, both from the University of East Anglia.



My-Linh Ngo

Pierre-Henri joined BlueBay in July 2014 and is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Convertible Bond Team. He has 20 years’ investment management experience. Pierre-Henri began his career with BNP Paribas Asset Management in fixed income management then subsequently as a multi-asset quant strategist and began managing convertible bonds in 2005, first for Credit Suisse Asset Management and later Aberdeen Asset Management. He holds an MSc from École Centrale de Lyon, a degree (DEA) in Models and Mathematical Methods in Economics from Université Paris I and is a CFA charterholder.



Pierre-Henri de Monts de Savasse

Gautam is a Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. He joined BlueBay in July 2018. Prior to joining BlueBay, Gautam worked as an Emerging Markets Strategist at Deutsche Bank (London). He holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Amherst College.

Before joining BlueBay, Mowl was most recently a Senior Portfolio Manager at CIP Asset Management managing US and European asset backed securities, including ABS, RMBS and CLOs. Prior to this, he held a similar position at WyeTree Asset Management where he was a Portfolio Manager. He has also held specialist roles within this space at Solent Capital Partners. Mowl is a Chartered Financial Analyst, holds an MSc Financial Mathematics with Distinction from [Warwick Business School](/org/warwick-business-school), and has a BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Physics from the [University of Warwick](/org/university-of-warwick).

Doug Guzman is currently a Board Member at [BlueBay Asset Management](/org/bluebay-asset-management). Doug has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Doug started their career at [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) in 1996 as a Managing Director. In 2005, they left Goldman to join [RBC Capital Markets](/org/rbc-capital-markets) as the Head of Global Investment Banking. Doug spent 10 years at RBC before leaving in 2015 to join BlueBay.

Doug Guzman's educational career began at Colonel By High School. Doug then completed their HBA at [Western University](/org/western-university) before going on to earn their MBA from [Harvard Business School](/org/harvard-business-school).

Sid Chhabra

Illya is a Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. Illya joined BlueBay in February 2020 and his primary portfolio management responsibilities include the EM distressed and illiquid credit strategies, special situations and private credit. Prior to joining BlueBay, Illya worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he helped building their emerging markets effort last serving as head strategist for CEEMEA distressed debt and special situations group. Illya started his career in the Fixed Income Research team at BNP Paribas Group in Kiev, focussing on CIS debt markets. He holds an M.B.A. from Chicago Booth School of Business and MSc (Hons) in Finance from Kiev National University.

Illya Zyskind

Mark is BlueBay's Chief Investment Officer. He has over 26 years' investment experience as a macro fixed income investor and has been a senior portfolio manager at BlueBay since he joined in August 2010. As a macro risk taker, Mark actively pursues an open dialogue with policy makers and opinion formers, believing that proprietary research is key to gaining insights in order to generate strong investment returns. Prior to joining BlueBay, Mark was Head of Fixed Income in Europe for Deutsche Asset Management, a role he previously occupied at [Invesco](/org/invesco). He started his career as a fixed income portfolio manager at Morgan Grenfell in 1993 and holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the [University of Warwick](/org/university-of-warwick).

Mark Dowding

Polina is Head of Emerging Markets and Senior Portfolio Manager at BlueBay. Polina started her career in emerging markets after the Russian financial crisis in 1998 and has, since then, gained expertise across a broad range of emerging market financial assets. Polina joined BlueBay in July 2005 from UBS where she was a credit analyst in EM corporate research. Her role encompassed coverage of EM issuers as well as research support for primary issuance of corporate debt. Prior to this, Polina was with Alliance Capital where she was an emerging markets equity analyst and then moved on to pioneer emerging markets quantitative research at the firm. She started her career in a macro research boutique in Russia. Polina holds an MSc (Hons) in Finance from the People’s Friendship University of Russia, Moscow and is a CFA charterholder.

Maria is a Portfolio Manager in the Multi -Asset Credit team at BlueBay. Maria joined BlueBay in January 2008 and held positions as a risk analyst and assistant portfolio manager before moving to her current role in January 2021. Prior to BlueBay, Maria spent one year at Standard Bank Group in the Asset Management division where she was a senior performance analyst for emerging markets and high yield fixed income portfolios. From 2004 until 2007 she worked as a senior portfolio analyst at [State Street Global Advisors](/org/state-street-global-advisors) focusing on LDI, fixed income, FX and equity funds. Maria holds an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School in London and an MSc and BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia and has passed the Investment Management Certificate.

Maria Satizabal

Blair is a Senior Portfolio Manager with the Multi Asset team at BlueBay. He joined BlueBay in August 2013 as an Institutional Portfolio Manager and a member of the Asset Allocation Committee. He became Senior Portfolio Manager in June 2017. Prior to BlueBay, Blair worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he spent six years as a lead portfolio manager in the fixed income team, specialising in emerging market debt and FX. Previously he worked for Barclays Global Investors as well as Aon (now Aon Hewitt), where he was an investment consultant. He holds an MBA from [London Business School](/org/london-business-school), a Bachelor of Economics degree from [Macquarie University](/org/macquarie-university) in Sydney and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Blair Reid

Justin is a Partner and Head of European High Yield within BlueBay’s Global Leveraged Finance Group. Justin joined BlueBay in 2009 as Head of High Yield Trading before moving into portfolio management in early 2012. He started his career at UBS in 2002 and was last Director of High Yield and Distressed trading in Europe. Justin holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Justin Jewell

James joined BlueBay in September 2007 as a financials analyst within the Investment Grade team. His experience and knowledge of the European banking sector has been widely utilised within the firm by both the Investment Grade and High Yield teams at BlueBay. He was instrumental in the successful launch of the BlueBay Financial Capital Bond Fund in January 2015 and has made a significant contribution to its peer group-leading performance since inception. Prior to BlueBay, James spent three years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an assurance and advisory executive covering financial institutions. He is a qualified chartered accountant and holds an MA (Hons) degree from the University of Edinburgh. James is a CFA charterholder.

James Macdonald

Raphael is Head of Multi-Asset Credit at BlueBay. He has over 25 years’ investment experience and was Co-CIO and then sole CIO of BlueBay from January 2014 to May 2019. Raphael has had overall responsibility for the investment grade debt portfolios and held key portfolio management roles during his time at BlueBay. Raphael joined BlueBay in August 2003 from [Invesco](/org/invesco) where he was a portfolio manager for investment grade funds. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager with BNP Group and Saudi International Bank. Raphael holds a degree in Engineering (IT) and Applied Mathematics from EFREI as well as a Master's in Management and International Finance from La Sorbonne, Paris.

Adam Phillips joined BlueBay in October 2020 as Head of Special Situations within Developed Markets. Adam has 30 years’ experience in special situations and distressed investing having previously been Head of Investments at Blantyre Capital, European CIO of [Marathon Asset Management](/org/marathon-asset-management) and Head of European High Yield & Distressed at Lehman Brothers. Prior to that, Adam was Head of the Asian Distressed team at Standard Bank and he started his career at British & Commonwealth Merchant Bank in structured and property finance. Adam holds an MPhil in Land Economy from Cambridge University and BA in Economics from Heriot-Watt University.

Adam Phillips

Russel is the lead portfolio manager for BlueBay’s global macro strategy and the EM sovereign blend strategy. He joined BlueBay in September 2010 as a Portfolio Manager responsible for the firm’s European government and aggregate bond portfolios. Prior to BlueBay, Russel worked at [Invesco Asset Management](/org/invesco-asset-management-india-private-limited) from 2000 to 2010, where he was responsible for managing multi-currency global fixed income portfolios for retail and institutional clients. He was also Co-Head of Global Alpha (ex US). Prior to joining [Invesco](/org/invesco), Russel worked at Citigroup Asset Management. Russel earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the [University of Cape Town](/org/university-of-cape-town) in 1996 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Journalism from [Rhodes University](/org/rhodes-university) in 1995.

Russel Matthews

Zain is a Portfolio Manager in the Convertible Bond Team. He joined BlueBay in January 2012 as a fund accountant within the Finance department before moving to the desk as Assistant Portfolio Manager in June 2014. Prior to joining BlueBay, Zain worked for three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a CFA charterholder, holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Economics from the [University of Warwick](/org/university-of-warwick) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Zain Jaffer

Tom is a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager within the Investment Grade team. His focus is on European non-sovereign debt for which he manages BlueBay’s European Corporate Strategy, including a flagship mutual fund and several bespoke mandates. Tom joined BlueBay in December 2005 and the Investment Grade team in July 2007. He has been instrumental in driving the success of the European IG credit strategy, both in absolute return and benchmark portfolios, as well as developing the growing number of buy-and-maintain strategies. More recently, Tom’s focus has been the launch of the Capital Income Fund and the Impact-Aligned Strategy in line with growing investor demand for sustainable investment funds. His knowledge of financial software development and programming has been integral in tailoring BlueBay’s information systems to assist with active portfolio management. Prior to BlueBay, he worked as a financial analyst at the UK head office of [Schneider Electric](/org/schneider-electric). Tom holds a BSc degree in Mathematics from the University of Wales, Swansea, and is a CFA charterholder.

Tom Moulds

Timothy joined BlueBay in January 2017 as a Senior EM Sovereign Strategist within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to joining BlueBay, Timothy was Head of CEEMEA Credit Strategy at Nomura International. Before this he was Head of EM Research (ex-Africa) at ICBC-Standard Bank until May 2015; Head of Emerging Markets Research at the Royal Bank of Scotland until June 2012; and Head of EMEA fixed income research at Bear Stearns International (later [JPMorgan Chase](/org/jpmorgan-chase)) until April 2008. Timothy has also held a number of Economist positions at West Merchant Bank, Caspian Securities, ABN Amro, the Economist Intelligence Unit and Euroconsult, where he worked on international development projects. Timothy holds a first class BA honours degree in Economics and an MA in Agricultural Economics both from the University of Manchester and was a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Reform & Transformation at Herriot-Watt University and a Leverhulme Research Fellow at Exeter University.

Timothy Ash

Tim joined BlueBay in January 2012 and is a Senior Portfolio Manager across several global leveraged finance and ESG strategies based in the Stamford, Connecticut, office. Tim joined BlueBay as Head of Trading, North America within the Global Leveraged Finance Group, before being promoted to portfolio manager in January 2017. Prior to BlueBay he was a director in high yield and distressed credit trading at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Before joining RBS, Tim spent three years as an analyst on the leveraged loan trading desk at Bear, Stearns & Co. Tim holds a BS in Business Administration with Finance concentration from [Fordham University](/org/fordham-university).

Tim Leary

Sheraz joined BlueBay in February 2005 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager within the Investment Grade team. Prior to joining BlueBay, he was part of the actuarial team at SVB Syndicates Ltd. and was involved in developing the corporate dynamic financial analysis model. His main areas of focus were development of business planning with regards to risk-based capital constraints, parameterisation and model construction. Sheraz attended the [University of Warwick](/org/university-of-warwick) and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics.

Mihai is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to joining BlueBay, Mihai was a Founding Partner for the credit strategies at [Helios Investment Partners](/org/helios-investment-partners). Mihai has 20 years’ experience including on the sell-side where his last role was heading the emerging markets structuring team at [Bank of America](/org/bank-of-america) across fixed income, currencies and commodities. Mihai holds a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Economics and Finance from Warwick University.

Mihai Florian

Zhenbo joined BlueBay in June 2017 as an EM Sovereign Strategist within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to BlueBay, Zhenbo worked at [Bank of China](/org/bank-of-china-ltd) where he was Senior Officer for Macroeconomic Research. Prior to that he was an economist in the International Economic Development Group at the [Overseas Development Institute](/org/the-overseas-development-institute) in London. Between 2010 and 2012, he was the first Chinese national to be selected for the ODI Fellowship, serving for two years as an economist in the Nigerian Presidency. Zhenbo holds an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics; and a BSc in Economics, Politics and International Studies at Warwick University.

Pierre-Henri De Monts De Savasse

Marc is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Investment Grade team focusing on non-sovereign debt and specialising in financials. Marc started at BlueBay in June 2004 as an operations analyst before joining the Investment Grade Debt Team in March 2006 as a trader. He moved to his current role in January 2011. As a lead portfolio manager, Marc has been instrumental in driving the success of the European IG credit strategies as well as the peer-leading performance of the Financial Capital Bond Fund. Prior to BlueBay, Marc spent two years at CSFB focussing on credit derivatives. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Kaspar joined BlueBay in August 2014 and is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Investment Grade team. Prior to joining BlueBay, Kaspar worked for three years at Toronto Dominion Securities, in their global fixed income, capital markets group covering German clients. Previously, Kaspar spent six years with Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management where he was responsible for the global aggregate bond strategy. Kaspar began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2005 as an analyst. He holds a Master's Degree in Financial Management from a joint programme of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel and the [University of San Diego](/org/university-of-san-diego); and a Master's Degree in Economics from the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. Kaspar is a CFA charterholder.

Kaspar Hense

Graham joined BlueBay in September 2013 as Senior EM Sovereign Strategist within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to joining BlueBay, Graham worked for three years as Chief Strategist at Insparo Asset Management. From 1998 until 2010, he worked in emerging markets research at JP Morgan in New York and London, covering Latin America, CEEMEA and Sub-Saharan Africa. In the early stages of his career, Graham taught English in Colombia, worked as an economist for the Government of Papua New Guinea, was a management consultant in London, and was senior Latin America economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit. He holds an MA (Econ) degree in Development Economics from the University of Manchester and a first-class BA (Hons) degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Sheffield.

Graham Stock

Geraud joined BlueBay in August 2008 and is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Investment Grade team. He has primary responsibility for managing the Credit Alpha Long Short Fund. Geraud forms part of a core investment team that has an established track record of dynamic market insights and performance in macro fixed income investing across both developed and emerging markets. Previously, Geraud worked at UBS as Head of European Credit Strategy and [BNP Paribas](/org/bnp-paribas) where he developed the firm’s research on secondary trading strategies. Geraud holds a Master of Finance from ESSEC International Management School, Paris and a degree in Engineering from ICPI Lyon, France.

Geraud Charpin

Duncan joined BlueBay in March 2014 and was appointed Portfolio Manager for the Event Driven Credit Fund in January 2018. Prior to his appointment as Portfolio Manager he was Head of Event Driven Research within the Global Leveraged Finance Group where his extensive credit experience was utilised to assist the High Yield team. Throughout his time at BlueBay a focus on restructuring opportunities has formed a major part of Duncan’s responsibilities and the resulting investments a key driver of performance of the Event Driven Credit and High Yield funds. Before joining BlueBay, Duncan had amassed 16 years’ experience in the European high yield and distressed debt markets, working for several leading investment firms, including King Street Capital Management where he spent four years as a senior credit analyst. He was also a senior analyst at Threadneedle Investments where his six-year tenure coincided with the birth of the European High Yield market. Prior to his career in debt investment Duncan spent 11 years at [KPMG](/org/kpmg) attaining a senior manager role in Corporate Restructuring. Duncan holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Computing from the [University of Kent](/org/university-of-kent) and is a qualified ACA with the ICAEW.

Duncan Farley

Ashley joined BlueBay’s Securitized Credit and CLO business in September 2018. Prior to joining BlueBay, Ashley was Head of Specialist Credit Investments and Structured Credit at QBE Insurance Group. He previously spent 14 years at NM Rothschild & Sons where he was latterly responsible for managing the European Leveraged Loan/CLO portfolio. Ashley began his career in Acquisition Finance at JPMorgan and holds a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London.

Ashley Blatter

Paul joined BlueBay in May 2005 and is Chief Operating Officer at the firm. Prior to joining BlueBay, Paul worked for ten years at Deutsche Asset Management where he was a senior operations manager. During his time at Deutsche, Paul was responsible for managing the cash management teams across fixed income, global equity and UK institutional mandates. He has extensive experience in institutional and hedge fund operations, including reconciliations, cash management and client transitions. Pauls holds BSc (Hons) Economics & Geography from the [University of Exeter](/org/university-of-exeter).

Paul Bromley

Andrius joined BlueBay in March 2014 as a Credit Analyst within the Emerging Markets Team. Prior to BlueBay, Andrius worked at [M&G Investments](/org/mg-investments) and HSBC Global Asset Management as a deputy fund manager and credit analyst focusing on the US High Yield market, respectively. Before that, he worked as a real estate analyst at UBS Global Asset Management. Andrius holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics and Finance from Brunel University and is also a CFA charterholder.

Andrius Isciukas

James is a Portfolio Manager within BlueBay's Investment Grade team and joined the firm in March 2012. James joined BlueBay as a member of the Operations department before moving to the Investment Grade team in December 2013. Prior to BlueBay, James worked for Sapient Global Markets as an associate consultant, spending most of this time working in trade support. He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Investment and Financial Risk Management from Cass Business School, City University.

James Pettit

Harrison is a Portfolio Manager within BlueBay's Investment Grade team and joined the firm in June 2015. Harrison joined BlueBay as a member of the Performance and Attribution department before moving to the Investment Grade team in August 2018. Prior to BlueBay, Harrison worked for Sovereign Insurance in New Zealand as a Portfolio Analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Investment Finance and Economics from The University of Auckland in New Zealand. Harrison holds the CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing.

Harrison Hill

Gary is a Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. He joined BlueBay in January 2012 as a fund accountant before moving to his current role in June 2013. Prior to BlueBay, Gary worked at Citibank for four years, in their finance department as a fund accountant, analyst and project manager. Gary holds a MA (Hons) degree in Accountancy & Finance from Heriot-Watt University. He is also a chartered accountant having qualified in May 2011 through ACCA. Gary has also passed the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA charterholder.

Gary Sedgewick

Anthony is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Emerging Markets Team. Anthony joined BlueBay in March 2006 and his primary portfolio management responsibilities include the EM long-short credit strategy, the EM Unconstrained Bond Fund and the suite of EM Corporate long only funds. Prior to joining BlueBay, he held a management position at National Australia Bank. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the [University of Melbourne](/org/university-of-melbourne), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, and is a CFA charterholder.
