Mark F. Perry M.D.

Mark F. Perry, MD has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Mark F. is currently serving as the Senior Medical Director at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at HealthNow New York Inc., starting as a Medical Director in April 2018 and later becoming the Senior Medical Director from October 2020 to February 2021.

In their previous role at Lifetime Health Medical Group, Dr. Perry served as the Chief Quality Officer from October 2016 to December 2017, overseeing the Clinical Quality Program and striving to achieve high-quality benchmarks. Mark F. also held the position of Chief Medical Officer from January 2010 to October 2016, providing leadership for the overall medical activities of the group and advising the president of the organization. In addition, they served as the Interim President and Chief Medical Officer from April 2014 to January 2015, successfully managing a significant budget gap and improving employee morale.

Before joining Lifetime Health Medical Group, Dr. Perry held the role of Medical Director from 2006 to 2009, where they provided guidance on medical services delivery, worked with health center administrators to improve performance, and established relationships with community providers and organizations. Mark F. also served as the Chief of Pediatrics from 2003 to 2005.

With their extensive experience in various leadership roles, Dr. Perry has demonstrated their ability to oversee medical activities, improve quality of care, and address organizational challenges.

Dr. Mark F. Perry completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in 1994. Mark F. went on to earn their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1998. From 1998 to 2001, Dr. Perry pursued a Residency in Pediatrics at The Babies' and Children's Hospital of New York, which is affiliated with Columbia University.

Dr. Perry has additional certifications including being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2001. Mark F. obtained their DEA certification from the United States DEA in 2000, their NYS License from the New York State in 1999, and became Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in 2012.
