Lead IT Security Engineer at Bluegreen Vacations

Richard Olinde began their work experience as a Network Engineer II at Sprint in 2000 and later became a Solutions Engineer III at Ericsson in 2008, where they played a role in the deployment of Sprint's Network Vision solution. Richard then returned to Sprint as a Network Planner III, leading cost analysis and planning assumptions for voice and data capacities. Richard Olinde then joined Lakemary Center in 2015 as the Director of Information Systems, conducting vulnerability assessments and maintaining a risk register. Currently, they are working at Bluegreen Vacations as the Lead IT Security Engineer, focusing on understanding IT systems and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure correct design and implementation.

Richard Olinde earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University in 1998. Richard later pursued a Master's degree in Network & Communications Management – Information Security at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, graduating in 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Richard obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in February 2018, the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in January 2019, the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification from ISACA in January 2020, and the EC-Council's Certified Chief Information Security Officer certification from EC-Council in December 2021. Richard also holds a Certified Meraki Network Operator certification from Cisco Meraki.
