Bret Laskarzewski MBA/ITIL/CSM has a wealth of experience in the field of IT and software engineering. Bret started their career in 1996 as a Systems and Network Administrator at the University of Rochester. In 1998, they moved to Xerox as a Solaris UNIX Systems/Oracle Database Administrator. In 2000, they joined Great-West Financial as a Senior Manager Software Development, Manager Software Systems Engineering, and Team Manager Technical Infrastructure. In 2018, they moved to Amazon as a Sr. Technical Program Manager in Alexa Engine. In 2019, they joined Zume Inc. as a Senior Scrum Master and Sr. Technical Program Manager. Currently, they are the Director of Technical Program Management at BlueOcean. Throughout their career, Bret has achieved successful insourcing of all production and development, led complex 3-5 year enterprise software development, infrastructure, and workflow business process improvement programs, and driven technical efficiencies using Agile and DevOps strategies.

Bret Laskarzewski obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Regis University in 2006, with a focus in Operations. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate in ITIL v3 (2007) Foundation. Bret also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Rochester in Psychology and English. In October 2019, Bret obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
