Chong Kim

Chong Kim is a seasoned data engineer with extensive experience in various programming and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at BlueOwl, LLC since July 2022, Chong previously held a similar position at Trellis Research, where contributions included Sagemaker document classification and the development of an admin page in Django. Prior roles include Staff Data Engineer at Kin Insurance, where SQL query optimizations dramatically increased geo-location query speed, and Full Stack Engineer at Undercover Tourist. Additional experience includes Senior Software Engineer positions at ExecVision and MineralSoft, and backend development roles at Gridium and Clarity Services, Inc. Chong has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, complemented by a minor in Math, and attended Stuyvesant High School.
