Gary Chedekel

Gary Chedekel has a diverse work experience in tax and treasury roles. Gary is currently employed as the Vice President of Tax & Treasury at Blueprint Medicines since May 2019. Prior to this position, they worked at Novelion Therapeutics from October 2013 to May 2019 as the Head of Tax & Treasury, where they were responsible for tax accounting, reporting, intercompany transactions, and worldwide income tax returns. Before Novelion Therapeutics, they held the same position at Ribbon Communications from October 2008 to October 2013, where they provided network communications solutions to telecommunications and cable service providers. Gary also worked as the Vice President of Tax at Concentra from November 1997 to October 2008, where they established an in-house tax function previously outsourced to a Big Four CPA firm. Gary's earlier experience includes working as a Domestic Tax Manager at Boston Scientific from October 1995 to November 1997 and as a Tax Supervisor at Reed Elsevier from October 1987 to October 1995. Gary began their career as a Senior Auditor at CBIZ Tofias in 1984.

Gary Chedekel pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley University from 1980 to 1984. Later, they obtained a Master of Science in Taxation from the same university between 1989 and 1991.
