Amrudha Mohan

Principal Research Associate at BlueRock Therapeutics

Amrudha Mohan has extensive experience in the field of research and biotechnology. They have worked in various roles at different companies and institutions, starting with their position as a Research Intern at Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (IAHS) Pvt. Ltd in 2010. They then worked as a Research Intern at Lifeline Institute of Regenerative Medicine (LIRM) in 2011, where they gained experience in handling patient-derived samples and utilizing FACS for cell sorting.

In 2012, Amrudha worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, focusing on the characterization of scaffolds for corneal tissue engineering. They optimized the preparation of scaffolds and evaluated their properties.

Amrudha continued to advance their career, serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2015. They conducted independent research on the role of cell cycle inhibitors in muscle satellite cell differentiation. Their work was recognized with the Best Poster award at a regional regeneration symposium.

From 2015 to 2016, Amrudha worked as a Senior Research Technician at the Texas Heart Institute, contributing to cardiovascular research projects. They then joined Baylor College of Medicine as a Research Technician III in 2016, where they played a lead role in a Phase II CAR T-Cell Therapy targeting cancer patients. They were proficient in working in a GLP/BSL-2 Facility and conducted various laboratory techniques, including qPCR and ELISpot assays.

In 2017, Amrudha joined Syngene International Limited as an Associate Scientist, gaining industry experience in biotechnology. They then worked as a Research Associate at Triumvira Immunologics, Inc. for a brief period in 2018, before joining Deep Genomics.

At Deep Genomics, Amrudha held various roles, including Research Associate, Senior Research Associate, and Principal Research Associate. They played a crucial role in designing and executing functional assays for preclinical programs and contributed significantly to the optimization and development of assays. They were proficient in working with various high-throughput technologies and conducted data analysis.

Currently, Amrudha Mohan is a Principal Research Associate at BlueRock Therapeutics, starting in 2022.

Amrudha Mohan completed a Bachelor's Degree in Genetic Engineering at SRM University from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Stem Cell Biology at the University of Minnesota from 2013 to 2014.
