Chew-Li Soh has a strong background in genome engineering and stem cell research. They started their career as a Teaching Associate at Monash University in 2008, before moving on to work as a Research Assistant at the Australian Stem Cell Centre from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, Soh joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they focused on genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9 technology and the differentiation of pancreatic beta cells. In 2016, Soh took on the role of Associate Editor at The Rockefeller University's "Natural Selections" publication, where they were involved in writing, editing, and managing content for publication. Since 2018, Soh has been working at BlueRock Therapeutics, first as a Senior Scientist and currently as an Associate Director of Genome Engineering.
Chew-Li Soh completed their education at Monash University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from 2003 to 2005. Chew-Li then pursued an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Washington in 2006. Continuing their studies, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Stem Cell Biology and Immunology at Monash University from 2007 to 2013.
