David Knight

David Knight has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. David started their career in 1998 as a Software Engineer at Symbian, Ltd. / Symbian, Inc. and later transitioned into a Technical Consultant role. In 2001, they joined Cellsoft, Inc. as a Software Engineer / Business Development professional. From 2003 to 2005, they worked at Symbian as a Senior Technical Consultant. In 2005, they joined Adobe as a Senior Computer Scientist/Lead, Mobile, where they played a key role in developing the v1.0 Camera module for iOS. At Slack, where they worked from 2016 to 2020 as a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile, they made significant contributions to the Android app, improving its load time and mentoring junior developers. Currently, they are a Principal Software Engineer II, Architect at Bluescape, where they led the architectural shift of the React Native app for the Bluescape Mobile App, resulting in performance improvements and increased usage.

David Knight completed their BA in Physics from the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1998.
