Gemma Watson

Gemma Watson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Gemma has held various roles in different companies, primarily in the field of UX and visual design.

Gemma's most recent position was as the Principal UX/Visual Designer at Bluescape, where they started in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior UX/Visual Designer at the same company from November 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining Bluescape, Gemma was employed at OSIsoft as a Senior Visual Designer/Interaction Design Engineer from November 2018 to October 2019.

Gemma also has experience working as a UX/Art Director Consultant at BAN RAM LTD, a booking website for the beauty industry. Their role involved creating and developing the brand and identity, defining the UI/UX interaction and the overall look and feel of the site. Gemma also developed a style guide and created marketing collateral during their time at BAN RAM LTD, which lasted from November 2017 to July 2018.

Prior to BAN RAM LTD, Gemma worked at Oracle Corporation as a Principal Visual Designer, UX from February 2012 to October 2017. Gemma also held the position of Senior Visual Designer at the same company from February 2010 to February 2012.

Gemma gained valuable experience as a Senior Visual Designer in the User Experience Group at Sun Microsystems from December 2003 to February 2010.

Earlier in their career, Gemma worked as a Visual Design Consultant at Digeo Interactive, where they created prototypes, wireframes, and demos for UX team and stakeholders. Gemma also developed UI visuals for a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) product line, which received industry recognition at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Their time at Digeo Interactive lasted from 2001 to 2003.

Gemma also worked as an Art Director at Calico Commerce from 1999 to 2001.

Before that, they were self-employed as an Art Director at Gemma Graphic Design from 1998 to 1999.

Earlier in their career, Gemma held roles as a Producer at Macromedia in 1998 and as an Art Director at Netscape Communications from 1996 to 1998.

Gemma Watson has a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the IRFOP Institute of Design in Italy. In addition, they have attended several educational programs and obtained certifications from Cooper Professional Education and Cooper U in fields such as Visual Design Interface, Putting Personas to Work, Design Leadership Practicum, and Interaction Design Practicum. Gemma has also obtained certifications in Design Thinking Fundamentals, Design Thinking Immersive, Design Research Techniques, and Service Design Immersive from Cooper.
