Michael Abdo

Michael Abdo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology field. Michael is currently serving as a Team lead / Scrum Master at BlueScope, where they ensure the empowerment of the IT team to make innovative changes and assigns tasks based on skill level. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at BlueScope, where they provided technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Before their tenure at BlueScope, Michael served as a Software Engineer at both BlueScope and Nasdaq, where they developed web applications, introduced test-driven development, and automated internal processes. Michael also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Thales, where they researched open source software and controlled software through APIs.

In addition to their technology roles, Michael has experience as the Founder of Online Supplements, where they built an ecommerce website and gained knowledge in supply chain management and financial/project management. Before their transition into the tech industry, they worked as a Crew Member at McDonald's, where they managed food quality and trained new employees. Overall, Michael has a breadth of experience in software development, leadership, and project management.

Michael Abdo obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science with a specialization in Systems Programming from Western Sydney University, from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their HSC at St Dominics College from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance in July 2022.
