Robert Evans

Robert Evans has a strong background in business development, legal counsel, and corporate development. Robert currently holds the role of Head of Business Development at BlueScope since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at GFG Alliance - Australia as General Counsel & GM Business Development from 2017 to 2021, where they were responsible for corporate development, risk management, and legal activities. Before that, they served as Group Manager Corporate Development at Nyrstar from 2012 to 2017, where they handled corporate development, risk management, and insurance functions. Robert also worked as Regional Counsel at Nyrstar from 2010 to 2012, focusing on Australia and the USA. At the beginning of their career, they held the position of Senior Associate - Commercial Litigation at Hall & Wilcox from 2006 to 2010.

Robert Evans completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law at the University of Tasmania from 1998 to 2002. Robert also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government at the same institution from 1998 to 2000.
