Tracy Simmonds

Tracy Simmonds has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and positions. Tracy started their career at D McLean and De Beer, where they worked as an Internal Trainee Accountant (Articles) from 1991 to 1996. Tracy then joined the South African Sugar Association as an Internal Audit Manager, where they worked from 1996 to 2003. Tracy then moved on to Stramit, where they served as a Risk and Control Manager from 2004 to 2010. Following their time at Stramit, they joined Fletcher Building as an Internal Audit Manager - Distribution from 2010 to 2012, and later as a Group Risk Manager from 2012 to 2016. Tracy then joined CSR Limited as the Head of Risk and Assurance from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Tracy is working at BlueScope as the Vice President Internal Audit, a position they have held since September 2019. The breadth of their experience in internal audit, risk management, and assurance positions demonstrates Tracy's expertise in these areas.

Tracy Simmonds holds a Certificate in Strategic Decision Making and Value Based Risk Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Education, obtained in 2015. Tracy also completed a Cert IV Lean Manufacturing from Monash University from 2009 to 2011. In 1996, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting Science (BCompt) from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, specializing in Accounts and Auditing. Tracy Simmonds has additional certifications in various data analytics and visualization courses, such as Data Analysis with R Programming and Prepare Data for Exploration from Coursera. Tracy also holds a certification as an OHS Systems Auditor.
