Michael Ball

Michael Ball is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community affairs and economic development. Currently serving as Vice President of Community Affairs at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York, Michael oversees corporate community investments, partnerships, and grants through the Blue Fund, which supports health initiatives in Western New York and the Capital Region. Prior to this, Michael held leadership roles at Empire State Development, where responsibilities included promoting economic growth and job creation, as well as directing regional councils. With a background in planning and project management at organizations such as the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Erie County Industrial Development Agency, and Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corporation, Michael also possesses a strong educational foundation with degrees in Political Science, Urban Planning, and Executive Leadership.
