Mark Shlomchik

Mark Shlomchik has a long history of work experience in the medical field. Mark began their career in 1993 as a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Immunobiology at Yale University School of Medicine, where they conducted research on systemic autoimmune disease (SLE), B cell immune responses and memory and graft vs. host disease (GVHD). Mark also served as Associate Director of Transfusion Medicine service. In 2013, they became Department Chair and Professor of Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, in 2018, they founded and became Chief Scientific Officer of BlueSphere Bio.

Mark Shlomchik received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology from Harvard University between 1977 and 1981. Mark then attended the University of Pennsylvania between 1981 and 1989, where they obtained an MD/PhD.
