Louis Capece has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Louis has held roles in various companies, including Tata Consultancy Services, Bluestem Brands, Flywheel Digital, PointState Capital LP, HookLogic Inc., Naspers Limited, AdTheorent, UBS Investment Bank, Segal Advisors, and Global Industrial.

At Bluestem Brands, Louis served as an Acting Principal Engineer/DBA for AWS Redshift. Louis played a key role in designing and developing an extremely high-availability Redshift warehouse, consolidating data from over 50 legacy systems, applications, and databases. Louis managed all phases of Redshift database administration and security for over 350+ users and conducted workload balancing for multiple real-time data injection processes.

As a Senior Engineer and Redshift Database Admin at Flywheel Digital, Louis was responsible for building and supporting Redshift Data Warehouses. Louis architected data dimensions and fact tables, provided DBA support for over 50 users, and conducted query tuning and cluster diagnostics.

Louis also worked as a Data Science Engineer and Redshift DBA at PointState Capital LP, where they integrated SQL Server Enterprise with AWS Redshift and other cloud-based services. Louis developed automated data loading and data quality assurance processes, authored 100+ SSIS packages, and worked on a multi-billion record consumer transactions warehouse.

At HookLogic Inc., Louis converted multiple MSSQL data warehouses to consolidated Amazon Redshift clusters. Louis developed keyword harvesting and reporting systems and provided administrative support for multiple SSAS cubes. Louis also worked as a Consultant for Naspers Limited, where they assisted in the migration of legacy databases to Amazon Redshift.

As the Director of Data Warehousing at AdTheorent, Louis developed a multi-terabyte Redshift cluster with optimized ETL processes. Louis managed virtual partitioned tables and conducted all phases of Redshift system administration. Louis also designed high-speed ETL processes capable of processing billions of records per day.

Before that, Louis worked at UBS Investment Bank as a Lead Developer and Business Intelligence Engineer. Louis created a solution for the Workstation Renewal program, processing over 250,000 service and management tasks. Louis'ssystem eliminated the need for a costly ERP solution.

Earlier in their career, Louis worked as a Consultant at Segal Advisors and held various roles at Global Industrial, including Assistant Product Manager and Business Intelligence Manager. Louis developed a data warehouse supporting multiple departments and automated centralized purchasing systems.

Louis Capece obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Business Administration and Total Quality Management (TQM) from Dowling College in 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the same institution between 1992 and 1995. In 1996, Louis Capece completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Total Quality Management at Dowling College. Additionally, they received a Certificate in various technical skills such as SQL Server, Oracle Enterprise family, VB.net, Crystal reports, and MCSE Core technologies from Learning Tree International between 1999 and 2005. Notably, in 2023, Louis Capece achieved the AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
