Mike Marsch

Chief Development Officer at BlueWave Solar

Mike Marsch is Chief Development Officer at BlueWave. He joined BlueWave in June 2013 to manage and grow the firm’s Development and Construction group and oversee the development of Massachusetts’s first community solar projects. Throughout his time at BlueWave, Mike has played a myriad of roles, leading negotiations on land lease and project contracts as in-house counsel, financial forecasting as the company’s CFO, and building teams such as the project development team from the ground up. In 2016, Mike transitioned became the leader of BlueWave’s Community Solar business, a startup which has doubled revenue every year since inception and become a market leader in community solar servicing.

Prior to joining BlueWave, Mike focused on real estate in his native Southern California, most recently as principal at of Beckett Holdings, a firm he founded while in business school to capitalize on development opportunities in the multifamily sector. Earlier in his career, Mike was a Development Associate with The Ratkovich Company, a highly respected Los Angeles‐area developer, and was intimately involved in the acquisition, development, and management of over $500 million of residential opportunities with Briarwood Capital, a San Diego developer with over $1 billion of completed projects and a focus on master‐planned golf communities.

Mr. Marsch holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was named the John S. Long Outstanding Student in Real Estate. He is passionate about environmental sustainability and is an active volunteer with organizations seeking to reduce human impact on the world’s oceans.
