Mehul Desai

Mehul Desai serves as the Head of Business Management & Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff at BNY Mellon since April 2016. In this role, Mehul is a key member of senior leadership, overseeing strategic planning, business management, program management, and various functional areas in support of the Custody and Middle Office Technology CIO. Mehul manages a global organization of approximately 800 employees with an annual labor budget exceeding $100 million. Prior to BNY Mellon, Mehul held the position of Senior Vice President of IT Transformation at Citi Group from December 2010 to 2016, where responsibilities included building a team of internal consultants and leading a global Six Sigma Lean Transformation program that achieved significant fiscal reductions. Mehul holds a Master of Science in IT Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University.
