Monica Simao

Monica Simao has a diverse work experience. Monica currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Boa Vista. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at Urba. Before Urba, they were a Co-Founder and Member of the Advisory Board at Precavida. Monica has also worked as the CFO at Pif Paf Alimentos and JedAI Analytics, LLC. Earlier in their career, they held finance leadership roles at Patrimar, Tenco Shopping Centers, MRV Engenharia, Lider Aviation, and TIM Brasil. Monica has gained expertise in financial management, strategic planning, investor relations, and business transformation throughout their career.

Monica Simao holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Louisiana State University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1990. Monica pursued their MBA in Finance at Louisiana State University from 1991 to 1992. Monica also completed an MBA in Accounting at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2000 to 2002. In 2012 to 2015, they attended The Wharton School and received a Certificate of Professional Development in Negotiation. Recently, Monica pursued a Sloan Fellows MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management and obtained a Business Analytics Certificate and an Entrepreneurship and Innovation specialization from 2018 to 2019.
