Joy Folkedal

Joy Folkedal has extensive experience in governance and project management, currently serving as a Governance Specialist and Curriculum Developer at BoardSource since September 2014, where previous roles included Governance Programs Senior Project Manager and Strategic Development & Partnerships Project Manager. Joy's tenure at BoardSource began in 2000, including positions as Director of Training and Governance Consultant, contributing significantly to the organization's growth. Earlier professional experience includes working as an Office Management and HR Coordinator at BoardSource and as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University. Joy holds a Master of Science in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from George Mason University, a Master of Science in Voluntary Sector Organization from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The Catholic University of America.
