Dhruv Thanki currently serves as a Controls and Autonomy Engineer - Humanoids at Boardwalk Robotics since July 2023, focusing on controls and autonomous behaviors for humanoid robots. Prior to this, Dhruv was a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Delaware from January 2020 to November 2023, where extensive work on safe, multi-threaded, real-time software and an optimized whole-body quadratic programming controller was accomplished. Dhruv also gained experience as a Robotics and Control Engineer at Noah Medical from December 2022 to July 2023, developing characterization and calibration frameworks for continuum robots. Earlier, in 2019, an internship at the Space Applications Centre, ISRO involved creating a closed-form solution for the inverse kinematics of a 6-DOF Walk-and-Roll rover leg. Dhruv holds a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from LDRP Institute of Technology & Research.
