Mallory Gaston has held various roles in the fitness industry throughout their career. Mallory is currently the Chairman of the Board for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and also serves on the NASM Disciplinary and Appeals Committee. In addition, they are a Governing Board Member for NASM. Mallory is also the Chairperson of the Board for the Athletics and Fitness Association of America - AFAA. Mallory co-founded SOCIOUNI and is the Chairman of the Board for Body Mechanix LLC. Mallory previously founded BMU Body Mechanix University and served as CEO and Founder of Body Mechanix, where they developed a sustainable business model and trained quality human resources. Mallory also founded BM Fitness & Supply, providing fitness apparatuses. Mallory is the Founder of Project Pedal and has previously worked as a Fitness Director for Bodytonic and Fitness Managers for 24 Hour Fitness.

Mallory Gaston has a diverse education history in the field of fitness and sports performance. Mallory attended El Camino College but the exact dates are unknown. In 2003, they obtained a PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) degree from the National Academy of Sport Medicine. Mallory also earned certifications as a Certified Spinning Instructor from MADDOG ATHLETIC/Spinning in 2016, and as a Level 1 Trainer from Crossfit in 2012. Mallory further specialized their expertise by acquiring multiple certifications including Kettlebell Foundations, Instructor Level 1 + 2, Bulgarian Bag & Band from Spartan Kettlebell in 2012 and becoming a Certified Instructor from Russian Kettlebell Challenge in 2008. Additionally, they received a Sports Performance Nutrition Specialist certification in 2005 from the International Fitness Professional Association and a Level 1 Weightlifting Coach certification from the United States of America Weightlifting (USAW) in the same year. Mallory's journey in fitness education began in 2001 when they achieved their CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) designation from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the International Sports Science Association. Mallory expanded their knowledge by earning certifications as a CPT, Exercise Rehab Specialist, and Cardiovascular Conditioning Specialist from the National Academy of Health and Fitness in 1999.

In terms of additional certifications, Mallory obtained a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) qualification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in September 2020. Mallory also acquired a CFSC certification from Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning in June 2017, a TRX GTC certification from TRX Training in September 2016, and a Boxing & Barbells Level 1 certification from Boxing & Barbells (specific month and year unspecified).
