Saurabh Verma

Saurabh Verma, DVM, MS, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director at Boehringer Ingelheim, focusing on the testing and characterization of novel antiparasiticides in laboratory animal models. Prior to this role, Saurabh held positions at Iowa State University as a Research Associate Professor, specializing in nematode nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, and at Oregon Health and Science University, where responsibilities included investigating neuropeptides involved in obesity and energy homeostasis, as well as conducting postdoctoral research on ischemia-induced brain damage. Earlier experience includes a role as Research Assistant at Iowa State University working on biomedical sciences and nematode calcium ion channels, and as a Product Executive at Alembic Limited overseeing veterinary pharmaceuticals and clinical trials. Saurabh earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Iowa State University, an MS in Veterinary Toxicology and Pharmacology from JNKVV, and a DVM in Veterinary Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya.
