Thomas Schlange

Thomas Schlange's work experience includes:

- From August 2021, they have been working as the Principal Clinical Biomarker Lead at Boehringer Ingelheim.

- From January 2014 to July 2021, they worked at Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Biomarker Scientist. Thomas'srole involved discovery and validation of biomarkers for lung diseases, assay development for drug development programs, and project management of clinical registries and biomarker studies in the field of respiratory diseases. Thomas also represented Bayer AG in the European Liquid Biopsy Society and International Liquid Biopsy Standardization Alliance.

- From October 2013 to March 2021, they served as the EFPIA Coordinator of IMI's CANCER-ID at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

- From September 2011 to December 2013, they worked as the Lab Head Ophthalmology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

- From February 2008 to August 2011, they worked as a Lab Head at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

- From April 2003 to January 2008, they worked as a Postdoc at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research. Thomas collaborated with several project teams at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research and had a research fellowship from the Swiss Cancer League.

- From 1998 to 2003, they were a Doktorand (PhD candidate) at TU Braunschweig.

Thomas Schlange received their PhD in Chemistry/Developmental Biology from Technische Universität Braunschweig from 1998 to 2003. Thomas also completed their Diploma in Chemistry from the same university from 1992 to 1998. In addition, they studied Chemistry at the University of Utah from 1995 to 1996 but did not obtain a degree.
