Joseph “Cyle” Chapman is an interdisciplinary geologist with extensive experience in the field of geology and geophysics. Currently employed at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since September 2020, Cyle previously served as a Geology Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from August 2018 to May 2020, focusing on seismic interpretation and earth history. Cyle has also gained valuable experience through various internships, including roles as a Geophysicist Intern at Third Wave Geophysics, a Subsurface Geologist Intern at Excitare Exploration LLC, and a Geology Intern at White Knight Production LLC. Additionally, Cyle contributed to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Imperial Barrell Award team in early 2019. Cyle holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Earth Science, both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
