Sean Habing

Sean Habing has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Sean began their career in 2004 at Suncor Energy as a Deskside Support, where they provided technical support. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Developer and Project Manager at Great White North and as a Project Coordinator at Momentum Healthware. In 2012, they became an IT Manager at Perimeter Aviation and later transitioned to the role of IT Operations Supervisor at Cabela's in 2015.

In 2016, Sean joined Deloitte as a Senior Consultant, focusing on IT Risk Management, cyber security, infrastructure, and software. Sean provided advisory support and conducted vulnerability assessments for multiple clients. Sean then moved to RAPID RTC in 2018, working as an Information Security Analyst.

From 2019 to 2021, Sean served as a Senior Technology Manager in Security Operations at SkipTheDishes. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing security operations.

Currently, Sean is employed at BOLD since 2021. Sean started as an Information Security Manager, leading the information security team and managing privacy, risk, and compliance. Sean then progressed to the role of Director of Information Security and Compliance, where they design and implements the company's information security strategy and manages the information security team. Sean is also responsible for SOC2 Type2 and PCI DSS compliance.

Throughout their career, Sean has demonstrated expertise in information security, compliance, risk management, and team leadership.

Sean Habing attended Red River College Polytechnic from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Business Analyst Certificate. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Manitoba from 2001 to 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Asian Studies. In addition, Sean has obtained certifications such as the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, 8th Habit, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and CompTIA A+ Certified.
