Barb Friend

Barb Friend's work experience began in 1988 as a Police Officer with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police. Barb then joined the Maryland Army National Guard in 1998, serving as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator-Maintainer. In 2000, Barb became a Sector Executive Assistant at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Barb later worked as a Production Manager at Antenna Research Associates, Inc. in 2015. From 2016 to 2017, they served as an I&R Specialist at Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands. Barb then worked as a Contractor (Administrative) at Naval Undersea Warfare Center for the first part of 2018. From September 2018 to December 2019, they served as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Marine Facilities and Operations at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. In 2019, Barb became a Virtual Business Support Specialist at Cedar Ridge Counseling Centers, LLC. Their most recent role is as a Business Support Specialist at Boldly Remote Staffing, starting in June 2021.

Barb Friend has completed coursework in Business Administration at Montgomery College, the University of Phoenix, and the University of Maryland. Additionally, they have participated in the Early College Admissions Program at Garrett College, where they studied Administrative Assistant and Secretarial Science, General.
