Lindsay Wray

Lindsay Wray, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Lindsay began their career at Harvey Mudd College, where they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher from June 2005 to June 2008. Lindsay then pursued their Ph.D. at Tufts University, serving as a Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistant from September 2008 to February 2014. Lindsay also gained international experience as a Whitaker International Fellow at the University of Pavia from September 2012 to July 2013.

In 2014, Lindsay joined Bolt Threads, a company focused on sustainable biomaterials, as a Lead Scientist. Lindsay held this position until October 2017 when they were promoted to Associate Director of Materials Development. In this role, Lindsay contributed to the development of innovative materials. Lindsay later became the Director of Beauty and Personal Care Research in January 2019, where they continued to drive research and development in the beauty and personal care sectors.

In 2019, Lindsay transitioned to Eighteen B, a skincare company, becoming their Chief Science Officer. Lindsay played a crucial role in developing the company's proprietary ingredient, B-SILK PROTEIN. Lindsay held this position until May 2021.
