Mari Vahtrus

Mari Vahtrus is an experienced legal and journalism professional with a diverse background in various legal roles and fact-checking journalism. Currently serving as a journalist at the Fact Checking Initiative with Eesti Väitlusselts, Mari contributes monthly articles to major Estonian publications, Eesti Päevaleht and Delfi. As a Legal Operations Manager at Bolt since July 2022, Mari leads global legal operations, focusing on contract and outside counsel management, process improvement, and automation. Previously, Mari was part of Sorainen's Knowledge Management and Innovation team for nearly nine years, leading document automation projects and serving as an associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Mari's earlier experiences include legal internships in prominent legal institutions and serving as a supervisory board member for a commercial real estate company. Mari holds a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Tartu and has pursued studies in Vienna and Salzburg.
