Senior Director, Brand Strategy at Bombas

Tess Guttières has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Brand Strategy at Bombas, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Urban Policy Research Assistant at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York from June 2021 to September 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Tess worked at United Entertainment Group, starting as a Director of Strategy and later becoming a Senior Director of Strategy. In these roles, they led strategic and planning programs for clients such as Unilever, ASICS, SCJohnson, and Samsung. Tess also supported the development of positioning and creative solutions for new business opportunities in the automotive, CPG, and tech sectors.

Before their time at United Entertainment Group, Tess held positions at Team Epiphany. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Strategic Planner, leading planning initiatives for key accounts including Google, Lyft, and Netflix. Tess also supported new business pitches and played a role in consumer insight generation, research, media mix recommendations, influencer programming, and more. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2016, they were a Junior Strategist at Team Epiphany, providing strategic planning, research, and creative ideation for clients such as Nike, Sabra, and Moet Hennessy.

Tess's early career included roles at Art Report + as a Contributing Writer and Organic Social Strategist, TED Conferences as a Coordinator for TEDxTheNewSchool, Center for Public Scholarship as a Marketing Coordinator, Public Art Fund as a Communications Development professional, and DWNLD as a Marketing & Coding specialist. Tess also spent a brief period as a CNN Docent at Civic Entertainment Group, LLC.

With a background in strategy, planning, research, and marketing, Tess Guttières brings a wealth of experience to their current role as Senior Director of Brand Strategy at Bombas.

Tess Guttières holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning (MUP) with a focus on City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning, which they obtained from Hunter College. Prior to that, Tess completed a Bachelor's degree at The New School, where they double majored in Journalism and Data Design, as well as Culture & Media.
