Karl Gerhardt has held a variety of roles in the scientific field. In 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rice University. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Inscripta, Inc., where they were a Senior Scientist and Scientist I. In 2022, they founded Flash Genetics. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at Bond Pet Foods, a position they have held since 2023.
Karl Gerhardt completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from Rice University in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona in 2010.
