Brian Baumgartner

Brian Baumgartner has a diverse work experience in various companies. Brian started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Accel Biotech in 2011, and later became a Lead Engineer/Project Manager. In 2014, they worked as the Vice President of Hardware at Red Lotus Technologies. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Instrumentation Engineer at SpaceX. Brian then joined Liquid Robotics as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they worked at Matternet Inc as a Senior Engineering Program Manager & Head of Global Flight Operations. Brian then joined Uber in 2019, holding roles such as Senior Systems Engineer and Senior Product Manager. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at Aurora where they held several roles, including Senior Staff Product Manager. In 2022, they worked at Cruise as a Senior Manager, Technical Product Management. Brian then joined Applied Intuition in 2023 before becoming the Head of Product at Bonsai Robotics.

Brian Baumgartner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics (B.S.) from UC San Diego, with a focus on Engineering, Environmental Systems, and Mathematics, graduating in 2009. In 2019, they attended Harvard Business School Executive Education for a program in Leadership and Culture. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including Diversity Recruiting and Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn, Private Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration, Rescue SCUBA Diver from PADI, Part 107 from the Federal Aviation Administration, Commercial Class B Driver and Passenger Endorsement (P) (CDL) from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
