Kunal S.

Kunal S. currently serves as the Director of Computer Vision at Bonsai Robotics since November 2022, focusing on self-driving technology for agricultural machinery and the development of novel deep learning and 3D algorithms for monocular vision steering. Previously, Kunal held positions at Apple from January 2018 to January 2022, contributing as a Tech Lead and Senior Computer Vision Researcher specializing in pose estimation and 3D reconstruction. Prior experience includes founding engineering work at OCTI, INC. on human pose estimation and activity recognition, as well as roles as a Computer Vision Scientist at GumGum and internships at Bossa Nova, GreyOrange, Technical University of Munich, and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre where foundational skills in robotics and algorithms were developed. Kunal earned a Master's Degree in Robotics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
