Chrissie Shea has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chrissie began their career at Forrester Research as a Training/Recruiting Coordinator. From there, they joined the J. Craig Venter Institute as a Sr. Human Resources Generalist, where they were responsible for recruitment and managing the immigration process.
Chrissie then moved on to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where they held multiple roles, including Sr. Human Resources Manager and Associate Director of Human Resources. In these positions, they provided HR support, ensured compliance with labor laws, and implemented global HR initiatives.
Afterward, Chrissie joined Vanda Pharmaceuticals as a Director of Human Resources. There, they partnered with the executive leadership team, drove HR initiatives, and oversaw a significant increase in employee headcount.
Following their time at Vanda Pharmaceuticals, they joined Network for Good as the Vice President, People & Operations, and later transitioned to the role of Sr. Director, People & Operations. In these positions, they modernized HR processes, introduced employee engagement software, and provided guidance on workforce planning and talent management.
Currently, Chrissie is working as the Director, People Business Partner at Bonterra.
Chrissie Shea holds a BA in Psychology from Boston University, obtained from 1995 to 1999. In 2013, they pursued a World Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from The George Washington University School of Business. Additionally, Chrissie has obtained various certifications, including SHRM-SCP, GPHR, and SPHR, as well as certifications in Change Leadership, HR Foundations of Employee Relations, and Coaching for HR Professionals. Chrissie has also completed several LinkedIn courses in areas such as Bystander Training, Communicating Across Cultures, and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
