Kari M. Zavolta

Kari M. Zavolta has held various roles throughout their career. Kari M. started their professional journey as a Marketing Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department, where they planned and executed events and created marketing materials. Kari M. then transitioned to the Regional Learning Alliance, where they served as an Event Coordinator and later became the Director of Sales and Marketing. In these roles, they managed marketing initiatives, coordinated conference center events, and developed an integrated communications plan.

Next, Kari joined the Bricolage Production Company as the Public Relations and Communications Manager. Kari M. was responsible for growing the organization's audience and visibility through strategic partnerships, promotional campaigns, and marketing plans.

After that, they worked at Vincentian Academy & Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Pittsburgh Campus as the Director of Annual Giving. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing fundraising events and managing the Annual Fund and Capital Campaign fund.

Following this, Kari joined Salsa Labs as an Onboarding Specialist and later became an Implementation Manager. In these positions, they provided client service, managed conversions and implementations of the Salsa platform, and worked closely with clients to establish project goals and timelines.

Currently, Kari is at Bonterra, where they are the Vice President of Professional Services. Kari M. oversees all aspects of Data Services, Onboarding, and Design Services for the Fundraising and Engagement division. Their responsibilities include leading a team of consultants, ensuring service delivery excellence, working with sales leadership for project scoping and quoting, implementing services to ensure customer satisfaction, and providing strategic direction for data conversion teams. Kari M. is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Throughout their career, Kari has demonstrated their expertise in professional services, implementation, onboarding, customer experience, fundraising, marketing, and communications.

Kari M. Zavolta has a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University. Kari M. also has a B.A. in Communication - Public Relations from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Kari has studied Hospitality Management at Virginia Tech, where they transferred from. Kari M. has also completed a Leadership Development Initiative program at Leadership Pittsburgh.
