Karen Weikel

Karen Weikel has a diverse work history in the field of nutrition science and education. Karen started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University from August 2006 to October 2011. During their time there, they also served as a Teaching Assistant from January 2009 to December 2010.

From 2010 to 2010, Karen worked as a Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Karen then joined the Boston University School of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Fellow from October 2011 to June 2016.

Moving onto Boston University, Karen took on the role of Lecturer at Boston University Metropolitan College from May 2015 to June 2016, and also worked as a Teaching Assistant from September 2014 to May 2016.

Karen continued their teaching career at Boston University as a Lecturer from July 2016 to October 2017.

Currently, Karen holds the position of Director of Nutrition Science at Bonumose, starting in December 2017. There is no specified end date for their current role.

Karen Weikel completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Philosophy at the University of Scranton from 2002 to 2006. Karen then pursued their Master's Degree in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition at The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University from 2006 to 2008. Karen continued their education at Tufts University and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition from 2008 to 2011.
