Kerri Perez has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. In 1997, they worked at Police Bank Ltd. in various positions until 1999. Kerri then worked at Angus & Coote as an Assistant to the General Manager HR & Security from May 1999 to October 1999. From October 1999 to September 2000, they served as an HR Advisor/Coordinator at Toyota Finance Australia.

In September 2000, Kerri joined KU Children's Services as a Senior HR Consultant, where they provided HR consultancy services to management and employees on various matters such as recruitment, performance management, and HR reporting. After six years, they moved on to Actron Engineering Pty Ltd, where they worked as a Human Resources Consultant with a payroll function from July 2006 to June 2008.

From July 2008 to May 2014, Kerri worked at SMC Pneumatics (Australia) Pty Ltd as a National Payroll & Senior HR Generalist, ANZ. Kerri provided a full range of payroll and HR operational services to company management and employees.

In 2014, Kerri joined Employgroup as a Payroll Consultant, where they engaged with clients to provide weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll management services. Later, they took on the role of an Implementation Consultant, where they project-managed the transition of multiple client payrolls into Employgroup's payroll solutions.

In 2015, Kerri joined BITZER Australia as a Human Resources, ANZ, where they delivered a full range of HR operational services to the internal customer base. Kerri reported directly to the Managing Director / Finance Director, ANZ and was responsible for employee relations, payroll, industrial relations, talent acquisition, and other HR functions.

Kerri's most recent role was at Booktopia, where they served as the National Payroll / HR Manager from October 2017 to the present. Booktopia is Australia's largest online bookshop, and Kerri was responsible for payroll and HR management for over 150 employees across Sydney and Melbourne.

Currently, Kerri is a volunteer at RSPCA NSW, serving as a customer concierge starting from March 2023.

Kerri Perez holds a Bachelor of Business & Commerce degree with a major in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from Western Sydney University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management at TAFE NSW in 1998. In 1994, they also completed an Advanced Certificate in Commerce at TAFE NSW, followed by an Advanced Certificate in Personnel Management in 1989. Currently, Kerri is pursuing a Certificate IV in Payroll Administration at the Australian Payroll Institute, starting in 2021. In addition to their formal education, Kerri has obtained various certifications, including the New Zealand - Fundamentals of HR Practice from the New Zealand Payroll Practitioners Association in 2013, the New Zealand - Fundamentals of Payroll from the Australian Payroll Association in 2013, the Job Evaluation certification from Mercer in 2012, and several other certifications related to payroll administration and fire safety. Kerri has also been appointed as a Justice of the Peace (NSW) by the Attorney General of New South Wales, although the specific date of this appointment is not provided.
