Tu Duong has extensive professional experience in the field of statistics and data analysis. Tu began their career in 1997 as an intern at Genentech, where they explored goodness-of-fit measures for logistic regression and lectured on their findings to the Post-Marketing department. From 1997 to 2004, they worked at UCSF as a Statistician and Post-Graduate Student Researcher, providing statistical consulting and analysis for health survey research projects, creating and maintaining databases, and drafting statistical methods sections for manuscripts. From 2004 to 2017, they worked at the City of Portland as a Statistician/Environmental Specialist, where they designed and managed a city-wide study to assess contamination of ground water, analyzed data, reported findings, and provided recommendations to Bureau leadership. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at BackOffice Associates as a Business Strategy and Sales Operations Consultant, developing sales enablement programs, working with sales team on account planning, creating forecasting reports and dashboards in Salesforce CRM, and organizing Quarterly Business Review meetings. Since 2020, they have been working at Boom Learning as the General Manager.
Tu Duong received a Bachelor's Degree in History and Mathematics from UC Irvine between 1990 and 1995. Tu then attended The University of G\u00f6ttingen from 1993 to 1994, studying History and German Literature. In 1996, they earned a Master's Degree in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
