Craig Gilchrist has over 20 years of experience in technical writing and documentation. Craig has held various roles in different companies, starting with ABT Corporation (now CA) as a Managing Technical Editor, where they managed a team of writers and developers. Craig then worked as a Technical Editor at Vignette, providing editorial support to a team of technical writers.
At Freescale Semiconductor, they served as a Technical Writer, providing end-user documentation for wireless phone platforms. Craig then joined Planview, Inc. as a Documentation Program Manager and later as a Lead Technical Writer and Online Trainer. In these roles, they directed a team of writers, created project schedules, and implemented innovative documentation approaches.
Craig continued their career at Logical Information Machines (LIM) as a Technical Writer, responsible for producing end-user documentation and marketing brochures. At Motive, they worked as a Technical Writer, collaborating with remote developers and creating various types of documents for Home Device Manager.
Craig then joined Bazaarvoice as a Senior Technical Writer, focusing on API documentation and supporting the Developer community. At Zenoss, they served as a Senior Technical Writer, authoring installation and administration documentation using Oxygen XML.
Craig'smost recent position is with SparkCognition, where they worked as a Senior Technical Writer, supporting the Darwin and SparkPredict development teams by creating API/SDK documentation, user guides, and release notes.
Currently, Craig is working as a Principal Technical Writer at Boomi.
Craig Gilchrist attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Craig then pursued further education at Middlebury College from 1990 to 1993, obtaining a Master of Arts degree.
