Lance Newhart

Lance Newhart has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Lance is currently the Investments Lead at Boomtown Accelerators, where they specialize in supporting startups and scaleups in the sports tech industry. Prior to this role, Lance founded GlobalMAlliance in 2019, where they served as an entrepreneur and senior global media consultant. Lance also founded and served as the CEO of GlobalM from 2019 to 2023.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Lance had an extensive career in the media industry. Lance worked at the European Broadcasting Union from 1992 to 2019, holding various roles such as Head of Special Events, Deputy Head of Special Events, Senior Producer for Special Events, and News Producer for Breaking News and Special Events. Lance'sresponsibilities included managing news, sports, business, and entertainment events, negotiating and managing broadcast services, as well as producing news in challenging environments such as war zones and crisis situations.

Additionally, Lance has worked as a freelance journalist and media professional, where they utilized their skills as a news producer, cameraman, editor, and voiceover artist. Starting their freelance career in 1987, they honed their expertise in journalism and media production before transitioning to their positions at the European Broadcasting Union and later establishing their own ventures.

Lance Newhart completed their education with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Robotics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Lance also attended IMD in 2013 for a program on Orchestrating Winning Performance, and in 2005 for Business Marketing. In 2001, Lance studied Project Management with a specific focus on IT/IS at MCE in Brussels, Belgium. Lance began their education journey at Michigan State University from 1984 to 1986.
