Maiju Virtanen

Maiju Virtanen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2001, they worked as a Summer Trainee at CERN. Maiju then joined SQL Projekt AG as a Trainee in 2003. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Research Assistant and later as a Researcher and PhD Student at the University of Jyväskylä, focusing on knowledge management, RDF, and semantic web technologies. In 2006, they joined Lawson Software as a Technical Developer, where they developed web applications and implemented message-based integrations. From 2008 to 2017, they worked as an Integration Consultant at Merit Consulting Group, specializing in integrations to ERP systems. Maiju then joined Liaison Technologies as a Service Delivery Specialist and Project Manager from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, they have been with boost.ai, starting as an AI Trainer and teaching the Finnish language to their AI model. Maiju later became a Partner Manager for Emerging Markets and currently holds the position of Technical Customer Success Manager and Project Manager. In addition, they have experience leading and conducting a big band as the Band Leader and Conductor for Torvikopla Big Band, where they organized concerts and recording projects.

Maiju Virtanen earned a Master of Economics degree in Information Systems Science from the University of Jyväskylä, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, they attended Technische Universität Dresden from 2002 to 2003, although it is unclear if they obtained a degree or field of study from there. In May 2019, they obtained a certification in ITIL 4 Foundation from Tieturi.
